From Table to Wardrobe | 100% Upcycled Vintage Linen | Made in Amsterdam
Made entirely from 10 + 1/2 vintage placemats / napkins handpicked from mr Maria’s home in Greece, the Sunlace Shirt brings new life to forgotten linens. The soft yellow fabric, combined with delicate white lace and doily appliqués, creates a piece that feels both fresh and nostalgic.
Each placemat was carefully joined to form the body of the shirt, keeping the original edges and lace alive in the design. Light, slightly see-through, breathable, and full of quiet details, this piece carries the warmth of sunshine and the care of handmade work.
We kept as much of the original pattern as possible, transforming the textile into a relaxed Small silhouette with:
Mother-of-pearl buttons (4 + 1 spare inside)
French seams throughout for a clean and durable finish
Slightly cropped
Fine topstitch detailing
This is a one-off piece, it exists only once.
Made slowly in our studio in Amsterdam.

For M bodies, it will be more fitted.
Model is 170 cm tall with bust 86 cm, waist 77 cm, hips 95 cm. She wears a size S, and the shirt fits her relaxed.
All measurements taken flat (cm). Double for full circumference:
Bust (pit to pit): 54 cm (→ 108 cm total)
Waist: 52 cm
Length: 56 cm (measured from shoulder)
Sleeve length: 33 cm (from shoulder seam)
Arm opening: 17 cm (→ 34 cm circ.)

A little backstory
This shirt began its journey as a soft, beautiful linen set that we handpicked from Greece the last Christmas we visited our family there. It came from Mr. Maria’s home, along with some other treasures we picked up there (which you will see in future releases).
This spring, we finally decided to give it a second life. We transformed it into an easy, breathable shirt that you can wear every day with your favorite pants, skirts, summer shorts, sandals, or even ballerinas.
We love the softness against the skin, the subtle floral doily pattern and lace details, and how this piece brings something from the past into the present.
About the Making
Each shirt / top in the From Table to Treasure collection takes between 5.5 to 8 hours to complete.
• 1 to 2 hours go into gentle washing, on-spot cleaning, or mending as needed.
• 1 to 3 hours are spent cutting and carefully placing each element to highlight the original details.
• 1.5 to 2 hours for machine sewing and seam finishing.
• 1 hour for hand-sewing buttons and final touches.
Where and How It’s Made
Each piece is made either in our own studio or together with our trusted partner family atelier, just a short bike ride away, right here in Amsterdam. Nothing is outsourced. It’s just us, our hands, and a deep respect for the materials we work with.
A Note on Vintage Textiles
All textiles are pre-washed before we begin any transformation process. Because we work with pre-loved vintage fabrics, minor imperfections may be present — part of the story and character of each piece.
Please note: colors may vary slightly from what you see on screen due to natural lighting and different screens. We do our best to show the true feel of the garment. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
